Updated 2 November 2026 · Owner conversation review

Owner review of messages

The verified ZENDS owner can review retained and future server-stored messages in direct conversations, groups and channels to investigate abuse and enforce community rules. A user report is not required. This is not end-to-end encrypted messaging.

Private chats and MPIN

This also includes MPIN-hidden chats. Your MPIN controls access to hidden chats on your account and protects the local cache. It does not hide server-stored messages from an authorized owner review. The owner does not receive your MPIN, password, login codes or session tokens.

Limited and accountable access

Only the verified owner has conversation-history access. Staff can see only reports assigned to them and submitted evidence. Each owner review requires a reason and records the account, conversation, time and pages viewed. Audit records are retained for 180 days; message contents are not copied into those logs.

Before history becomes available

Previously recorded acknowledgements apply to retained and future messages. Direct history is available in the owner reader only when both participants have acknowledged. In groups and channels, content from senders without an acknowledgement remains unavailable. Reading this FAQ does not create an acknowledgement. Ordinary and Private chats do not require one.

What this reader does not expose

The current reader displays retained text and attachment placeholders. It does not open private attachment files, fetch live locations, recover deleted messages, send messages as you or reveal authentication credentials. Reports you deliberately submit remain reviewable under their own notice.
